Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection - door buster for Black Friday? I was wondering if anyone knew what the doorbuster for the Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection will be this year - and which items it has been in the past. I am curious if the gravy boat or butter dish were limited to the day after Thanksgiving in previous years since they are so rare, so valuable, and they have not been reissued. If no one knows anything about this, does anyone know of a "underground" website dedicated to the Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection? Thanks so much!

Does anyone know a good place to get Poole pottery valued? I bought a Poole pottery vase in a charity shop purely because I like the colour and shape, but a friend reckons it's worth a lot more than the £5 I paid for it. Looking on the internet suggests that the Poole pottery mark is for pottery made between 1955 and 1959, and it's a Freeform design. I've found pictures vases of that design but different shapes, but nothing of the shape I've got. Any idea where I can get more info?

Where in Massachusetts can I buy pottery clay? I am looking for a place close to home which sells a decent clay for pottery throwing. I am especially interested in Raku clays if you know of any local companies which carry this product. I have tried craft stores in the area, but they supply mostly modeling clay. (Which can also be used for throwing, but does not work as well.) The nearest location that I could find that carries the type of clay I am looking for is located over an hour away. I was hoping there was something closer.

Is it worth putting out for a garage sale or should I just give it to Good Will? Thanks!!

How do you open a shop for pottery and other art in a small town. And to have it give back to the community? My family has been to several places to "do your own pottery/ ceramics" and they fire them for you. (In much larger cities) Our size is maybe 12,000 pop. My goal is to open something similar to this yet allow different classes to be taught also. Ex: painting, scrapbooking, batiking, sewing, sculpture, stainglass...any mediums people (children and teenagers also) would be intrested in. A place for all ages (allow kids to have b-day parties!) Also giving teens a place to hang & show their talents. Of course the art mind has no sense of the business mind. I clearly need advice on how this could be started and where to look for financing . It would be a great opportunity for this small town in TX w/nada. Allowing families and kids to do something unique. I have many ideas and themes found by talking to others. I feel that placing some of the profits with local and international charities would be a good way to give back. (Hab 4 Hum, YoungLife, Compassion I.) Just need a place to start.
