Pottery Making question?
Once I have made items does it matter if they dry out much before kilning them? I had the idea that I would make loads of things and then talke them, all to be kilned, however the process could stretch over weeks rather than days. Is this a problem, will they crack? Should they be kept wet or damp or cool?

- You are supposed to make sure they dry completely before you fire them or they will crack. I dry mine on wood shelves in a dry room kept at about 80 degree's, wood helps pull out the moisture.
- they have to be bone dry for the kiln, any cracks though may cause the pot to explode in the kiln damaging all the others, only keep then damp if you intend on working into them eg scratching a pattern on the surface etc,
