Which store could I go to buy clay pottery peices?

I want to cast lots, I need a piece of pottery that is big enough for my hand but dark enough to hide the color of the stones inside, I'm putting broken peices with inscriptions or black and white stones inside the pottery jar.

1. try a local pottery shop. they have so many unique things. We have an awsome place here called The Pots Place but unless you are close to Bowling Green, KY , it won't do you much good
2. a dollar store sometimes has small clay flower pots that will work for this. get the glazed kind in a dark color, not a terra cotta one. Garden centers at home improvement stores, Walmart, etc. Sometimes you can find them in the candle dept. Also, go to local craft fairs and see if any of the ceramic artists have something for sale that you could use. they frequently make handle - less cups and you could buy one of those. also look on e-bay. they don;t care what you are using them for - just give a specific size you want, color.
